Timothy J. Carroll focuses his practice on commercial andĀ IP litigation matters, specifically those relating to securities fraud, shareholder class actions, misappropriation of confidential information and trade secrets, patent infringement and other business tort and consumer actions. Mr. Carroll serves as national litigation counsel to a global software company, and he has litigated disputes through trial and appeal in Courts throughout the United States.
He also has counseled scores of global business organizations, including two Fortune 15 companies, on adopting and implementing lawfully compliant information management programs, as well as on various eDiscovery and data security initiatives. Mr. Carroll is frequently called upon to comment on the field of compliance and eDiscovery by such publications as the Chicago Tribune, Metropolitan Corporate Counsel, the Privacy and Data Law Journal and Compliance Week.
Mr. Carroll is a member of the advisory boards of software companies involved in the commercialization of records management and data storage solutions. Mr. Carroll also serves as a guest lecturer on the law of trade secrets at the IP Legal Clinic of his alma mater, DePaul University College of Law.
