Surety Adds Three Experts to Advisory Board to Enhance E-Discovery Offerings

Howrey Partner John Rosenthal, Vedder Price Partner Timothy Carroll and LECG E-Evidence Consultant Daniel Regard Join Surety Advisory Board

Carroll and LECG electronic discovery practice leader Daniel L. Regard have joined the Surety Advisory Board. In this capacity, John, Tim and Dan will provide the company with independent guidance, focusing on Surety’s value in the e-discovery field in response to last year’s changes to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.

A partner in Howrey’s antitrust and global litigation practice groups, John Rosenthal focuses his practice on antitrust, trademark and complex commercial matters. He currently serves as co-chairman of Howrey’s E-discovery Committee and as an Advisory Board Member of the Georgetown University Continuing Legal Education E-Discovery Institute. As one of the country’s most respected e-discovery practitioners, John has extensive experience counseling companies on records retention programs, e-discovery compliance and e-discovery risk management practices. He is a participant in the renowned Sedona Conference on Best Practices for Electronic Discovery and Records Management and has lectured across the country on the issues of e-discovery and records retention.

Tim Carroll, a partner in Vedder Price’s litigation practice group, specializes in commercial and intellectual property litigation. A member of Vedder Price’s Electronic Discovery Task Force, he has written numerous articles on e-discovery and records retention and has presented on those topics for several clients. Tim has counseled many organizations, including a Fortune 5 company and a major defense contractor, on electronic communications and records management policies.

A managing director in the Washington DC office of LECG, a global expert services and strategic advisory firm, Dan Regard leads the firm’s electronic discovery practice. He is a nationally recognized consultant, expert witness and speaker on electronic evidence and case management with more than 20 years experience consulting for legal and corporate entities in electronic evidence and litigation technology. A participating member of the Sedona Conference working group, Dan is trained as both an attorney and computer programmer and has extensive experience testifying about e-discovery across the country. Dan also serves as a director in the Georgetown Advanced Institute for e-Discovery, a board member for the Institute for Computer Forensics Professionals and a member of the High Tech Computer Crimes Association.
